So many questions which make it so easy to feel a sense of overwhelm, but there is no reason to tackle all of this alone. We believe in meeting our Journeying Mamas where they are on their journey and helping them achieve their breastfeeding goals whatever that may look like for them. Whether you are new to mamahood, or this breastfeeding journey is looking a little different from your previous experiences we are here to support & educate you. We would even love to see you before you meet your little one to ensure you have a good start! Our goal is to always ensure you feel seen, heard, and have the information you need to go on to make informed decisions for you and your baby.

Payment & INsurance

All clients must present a credit card at the time of booking lactation consultations. This credit card will be kept on file, and is necessary to proceed with booking all appointments. Electronic payments will be made through the payment processing center associated with our HIPAA compliant electronic medical record system, IntakeQ. Payments will be processed upon the completion of your appointment. If your appointment has been cancelled or rescheduled within less than 24 hours prior to the start time of your scheduled appointment, you will incur a fee of $100 that will be automatically processed. If your appointment is missed with no notification, the card on file will be automatically processed for the entire fee of the scheduled appointment.

All self pay clients will be provided a superbill(receipt of services) to submit to their insurance. While reimbursement is mandated for most plans under the Affordable Care Act, we cannot guarantee any outcome and will not submit an appeal.

We believe in access to care for all Journeying Mamas, and with that said, we are currently in network with Aetna & United Healthcare. At this time, we encourage those with BCBS PPO, Anthem PPO or Cigna PPO, to click the link below to be redirected to complete an application for pre-approval. Pre-approval is required prior to booking. Through out partnership with The Lactation Network, you may be eligible for 6 lactation visits at no cost to you.

  • There’s no reason why you should wait until your little one is here to have your first consult. Not only will you have your very own breastfriend added to your birth dream team, you will also have the tips, tools and knowledge to help you establish your breastfeeding journey after giving birth. We will answer all the questions, while also providing education and visuals/demonstrations on different topics to help you get started.

    Available virtually, in home and in office.

  • Having a newborn we know can sometimes make it difficult to step outside the house, and even more so the thought of driving anywhere sometimes seems unfathomable! No worries as we can come meet you where you are in the comfort of your home. Sounds nice, right?! This will allow us to provide a consult customized to your surroundings without you ever having to leave the room you choose to have your consult in, and we will leave you feeling confident after providing you with a care plan that meets the needs of you and your baby.

    As with office visits, it includes pre- & post- feed weigh ins, education on infant development and positioning techniques for deepening latch, breast and baby oral assessment, and referrals if needed.

    Service Areas are currently Union & Essex County with some areas in Middlesex County (Carteret, Colonia, Edison, Metuchen, Woodbridge). If you are outside of our service area, a surcharge will be applied.
